weddings

Jesenia & Daniel

as with many wedding blog posts, i just don’t know where to begin talking about this amazing couple.

I could start off by saying that they both look like models,

or maybe i’ll just start by saying that dan and jesenia

have devoted there lives to those living in the garbage dumps of Nicaragua.

people don’t get much more amazing than this. – jonathan

sweet shoe shot tiff! i’m diggin’ the soft colors- jonathan

Hola Wifey!

if you didn’t guess by now, jesenia speaks spanish.

I loved listening to her and her friends talk. I just had no idea what they were saying- jonathan

i’m sure this is good for the toilet seets?- jonathan

i think these were the strangest shoes i have ever seen.

i’m not sure jesenia knew i was taking her picture while she was in the stall but i’m opportunistic.  -tif

ummm.. gross. but i do have to admit they were some great flip flops- jonathan

this was the biggest veils we have ever photographed.

we had a lot of fun with it on the “day after” shoot- jonathan

this was also the first time we have ever shot a wedding that had translator for the bride.

good times :) – jonathan

i love candy at weddings, especially if they’re mints!

i was so surprised, i thought these were m&m’s, which i’m not too fond of.

but mini york pep. patties, i’m in heaven.  -tif

nice ring shot tiff! – jonathan

we love the strip in pittsburgh. so, we took daniel and jesenia out on this super windy day.

being from Nicaragua, jesenia handled it pretty well.

…sorry again we didn’t have any snow, i know you were looking forward to it. -tif

it was crazy windy that day. It wasn’t all that cold. but the wind just bit pretty hard.

we left the car running the seats heated and heater blowing full force

so that in between locations she could thaw out- jonathan

haha  i love it!

and my butt crack isn’t even showing.  just my undaroos.- jonathan

i don’t remember who took this shot, but i like it!

you two made the shoot.  you had so much fun.

all we had to do is point and shoot – jonathan

daniel was so patient with us too.

in between shots jesenia would warm up in the car

and he would just stand there so we could set thing up.

i love the colors here.  -tif

absolutley stinkin’ adorable.

and that’s about all i can say about that- jonathan

you two are awesome.

i think this is one of my favorites from the day- jonathan

although i am quite fond of this pic also.

she used one of these vines to “choke” him later on.

it was hilarious!

we couldn’t blog it :( to many pics already. – jonathan

ha ha, both views of the same shot.

I had to move the one up in the blog, for some reason you had it so far away.  -tif

that’s because blogging is the most tedious time consuming annoying thing.

seriously!  i think we are doing it wrong. it shouldn’t be this hard.

Whomever designed wordpress must have never used a mac. the interface screams PC- jonathan

this is one of my favorite shots of yours tiff.- jonathan

these guys have so much personality,

they were so fun to work with, even with a slight language barrier.  -tif

surprise!  i was shooting the couple from the other side of the train

and jesenia turned around to find jonathan scaling a wall behind her.

priceless face.  -tif

i was just going to post the bottom picture of this set,

but i was afraid it would kinda look morbid,

kinda like she was dead.

so i threw in the top two to let you all know she was having great fun! – jonathan

tough guys don’t look at explosions. – jonathan

alright, i will give you props on the photoshop skills in the above one jonathan, it’s hilarious.  -tif

haha! if you saw it in full size,

you would see that my photo shop skills are that of a 6 year old girl- jonathan

very sweet shot tiff.  i love the fact that you just have to look at it for a few seconds to really see it- jonathan

while we were shooting this, a random guy shouted from the wendy’s parking lot

“are you guys models?”

dang right, you two made this shoot so easy.

your both ridiculously beautiful, and so much fun-tif

good job on your first blog jonathan.  -tif

what…  first blog?! not!

i have blogged before and i will blog again.

i just think wordpress is kinda antiquated.

good thing we got the awesome and super talented

Jay Dinnito of Day Break Media

to help us out when we get in a pickle!

bassie & mendy

what an awesome wedding!

this is our second traditional Jewish wedding.

We had a slightly better understanding on what it would be like this time.

the key word there being “slightly” – jonathan

yeh, there is so much activity and celebration we really have to work hard to catch it all. -tif

this bathroom and awesome mirror bring back some fun memories.

I turned the corner expecting to follow bassie into the bathroom but had to stop dead in my tracks

cause this bathroom could only fit one rear end, and mine was definitely to big.- jonathan

i am digging the journalistic shot here tiff.

why do i still have that hat on.

maybe cause i love it! it makes me feel like i have hair on my head – jonathan

this room was amazing,

vintagey and fun!  -tif

bassie.  you definitely told that cold weather who was the boss that day.

I cant remember the exact temp. but it was just painfully,

i mean excruciatingly cold outside- jonathan

i’m pretty sure it was less than 15 degrees!

I was suffering and complaining for the whole seven minutes we were outside, but bassie was totally fine.  -tif

look at that buttery gold goodness.

your photoshop recipes are looking mighty tasty tiff! – jonathan

haha! i love this shot.  Bassie, you look awesome!

I look like some sort of chewbacca or something from star wars the movie.

If i only had gloves on it would complete the look- jonathan

i’ll work on the fuzzy gloves for next year. -tif

Self portrait! i couldn’t pass up this mirror when i saw it- jonathan

this shot is great jonathan,

i guess bassie gets some gredit too for rocking this office with that look.  -tif

I really loved the feeling of this moment- jonathan

after the veiling, we all move outside for the wedding.

If i didn’t say so earlier, it was as cold as the antarctic outside the night of this wedding.

although being in the center of so many people it wasnt to bad.

i feel bad for those of you on the outskirts of this crowd,

but thank you for keeping tiff and I warm :) – jonathan

i really expected it to be alot worse, but there was a great windbreak from the crowd. -tif

being in the center of this crowd is much like going to a rock concert.

It was all of the shoving and pushing with out the ear piercing music- jonathan

yippy for the snowy groom!  -tif

it is still so unique to us that we are invited to be so close in to the action.

it makes it so fun and really makes you feel like part of the celebration- jonathan

okay.. i have no idea what those leaves are, but sweet portraits tiff- jonathan

what an incredible room at Phipps Conservatory in oakland.  mendi your awesome for taking us there.

Gina your rock for taking care of us! cant wait to shoot your wedding here! – jonathan

i wish i had a million snowflakes hanging from my ceiling. -tif

cant go wrong with confetti and a flower tunnel! – jonathan

i still love it,

yes that is the bride jump roping.

bassie looked great all night, she says it’s because of her make-up check it out. -tif

This was my favorite shot of the night.

I got down to take a picture of someone and then everyone else just followed along.

the funnier part is that now that i have them down here i go to take the pic and my CF card is full!

wait that’s not funny..  that’s really lame of me :( – jonathan

Again,

you cant go wrong with confetti. – jonathan

you totally caught the sense of community here jonathan,

i love how close everyone was at this wedding. -tif

i think i may have felt like this after the day you had too, mendy!  -tif

really tiff? -jonathan

yes. -tif

really? -jonathan

yes. -tif

you had to put this picture of me in here? -jonathan

yes. -tif

i guess i have to thank the guest photographer who happily took my camera to snap this pic

as well as the guest who was more placed the yamaka on my head!

haha…  Goodtimes – jonathan

thanks for the great night you two!

we really had a lot of fun! -coopers

thank you Rabbi Moshe Kamensky for helping me out so much that night. – jonathan
