modern pittsburgh photography

this is actually my second shoot with little Charlotte,

and third with her parents emily and mike.   -tif

It’s really an honor to take part in documenting her first year.

but i wish i had someone take my picture like this when i was growing up.

Tiff and i were talking about how awesome it would be to look back on these times.

the only family portraits i have of me

are ones when our shirts all matched

and we stood in front of really bad fake outdoor backdrops.

So yeah, i didn’t mean to sound like i am tooting my own horn.

I just really think its awesome that they will be able to look back

on all these pictures of charlotte growing up.- jonathan

i love getting to watch kiddos grow.

she’s also grown some smiles!  -tif

charlotte has not always been the happiest of teeny ones,

but she was so awesome, and i’m pretty sure she had a good time too.  -tif

so i got to document charlotte’s first time in the tunnel at frick park.

Ok not a huge milestone, but I’ll take what I can get.  -tif

baby yawns are the cutest thing on the planet.  -tif

it’s late. this just made me yawn.  i should be in bed. – jonathan

It was a rainy morning when I met with Damian and his family,

so we started our time inside his sunny bedroom.

Damian was really into the camera and he’s so talkative!

“play?” he kept asking, everytime we handed him a toy.   -tif
