November 21st, 2009 - posted in: familytony and the family are close friends of mine.
so it was great to be able to shoot them,
but unfortunately the weather was not on our side this day.
it was supposed to be a record setting warm day.
one would naturally assume that meant sunlight.
not in pitsburgh. it was grey and only getting darker by the minute. – jonathan

the first conversation i ever had with elise went as follows
me: he’s so cute, i want to take him home
elise: no! then his name would be cooper cooper.
ha ha, i laugh about that still -tif

oh the classic bunny ears…. I wonder how far back that dates?
i mean who came up with that?
Haha i just googled it.
there are actually articles dedicated to the history of the bunny ears!

i think he caught her by surprise :) – jonathan

tony took me to this thing in north park he called the light house.
i think it was a missile silo? anyhow it was a cool old rusty structure. i wish we could have climbed up it,
but unfortunately i forgot my bolt cutters and acetylene torch :( – jonathan

these photos are absolutely fabulous. i love the laid back feel of the shoot. you have a gift of being able to capture the spirit of the family, and that’s rare. your work is just amazing. some photographers have that special something that’s necessary to get successful pictures of children, and some don’t. it’s not always easy and you clearly have it! bravo.
steve & i would would love for you to wrangle our crew into a few shots. :)
