Andrea and Joanna
November 20th, 2009 - posted in: trash the dress
this was our first trash the dress shoot ever! i am super stoked about how it turned out.
I am so stoked that i think i broke a few blogging rules.
there are quite a few shots that are only slightly different.
i couldn’t decide which ones to keep out of the blog
I hope you two love these photos as much as tiff and I do – jonathan

we shoot down in the strip district of pittsburgh pretty often and i came across these tires on our last shoot.
i instantly knew that we would have to put joanna and andrea in or on them some how – tif

So instead of bringing her husband, andrea brought her best friend from high school along. -tif
having two friends together helped keep the energy up. so that rocked! – jonathan

i love how different they ended up being. when i was editing it felt like two shoots, i guess it kind of was.
we wanted them to each have a separate set of photos. andrea is classic and cute… -tif

… and joanna is intense, check this out. -tif

I want to start naming my favorite pictures on this shoot, but…. yeah i would have like 10 favorites – jonathan

my monkey. -tif

oh my…. we found these awesome gloves lying on the ground and
joanna was brave enough to put them on.
i meant to bring those gloves home with me. i forgot :( – jonathan
… in the ground, jonathan, andrea found them in a big cement hole. -tif

one of my favorites. -tif

how many brick leaning on brick shots can we post? – jonathan

i’m actually stunned by these next to pictures.
i think the first one is tiffs and the second one is mine – jonathan
yeh I love to see the difference in our shots with different position and lenses, I never know what your shooting for -tif

you look adorable in these photos andrea!!! – jonathan

favorite number two!!!! -tif

i really really like this picture tiff. i often forget to do artsy fartsy things like this on a shoot.
i’m glad you got the artsy covered. and you know i’m always good for the fartsy part :) – jonathan
seriously!, the first thing he said to me when he got home last night was “pppffffffft” -tif

haha!! amazing things preceded the picture below! – jonathan

CRAP! i ripped her dress! that really sucked.
i helped hoist her up and i thought i popped her back until i noticed that her dress almost fell off of her!
and please pay special attention to her head in relation to metal door- jonathan

not only did i rip her dress i somehow managed to smack her face right into the filthy garage door thing
i promise, this is the most damage that has ever happened on a shoot with us – jonathan
i walked over, and andrea has a huge purple/black mark on her cheek.
luckily she had that sweet dress to clean herself up with. -tif

if it is okay with you joanna, i am most definitely printing this picture out
and hanging it somewhere. or at least updating my screen saver with it!
this next two pictures are incredible!
thank you tiff for making them look so stinkin awesome in post!!- jonathan

I’d love some feedback on this one. Tiff thought i shouldn’t post it. any thoughts?
yay or nay? – jonathan

this, whatever it was, is as close to a bamboo forest you will ever find in downtown pittsburgh – jonathan

i think i will let tiff talk about this next series as she was able to witness this from dry land :) – jonathan
ha ha ha, just because you’ve had enough embarrassment this shoot. ok -tif
i would have never thought to go under a bridge at dusk, what light… this looks amazing. -tif

yay! champagne! why we had champagene?
no clue.
but it made for some fun photos!- jonathan

i cant thank you two enough for being our first willing subjects.
we most definitely succeeded in trashing your dress. – jonathan

Hi,
Nice pictures and nice greyed/greened colours.
I might be interested in both trashed wedding dresses.
Please feel free to contact me or to pass my e-mail address to the two brides.
I hope you can help me.
This is a serious request.
