what great kids,
i love it when parents aren’t afraid of a little dirt, or mud in this case.
sam and joey are real boys!,
they’re born to make a mess…
ella, she just sits back and takes it all in. -tif

we met up at north park’s boat house and it had been raining the whole day before.
the only dry place to sit, or hang, was some pipes in the half drained lake. -tif
they drained the lake? umm.. what’d they do with all the fish?- jonathan

…and who knew we had clams in pittsburgh!
i’m gonna get some waders and make soup. -tif

tracey is awesome, sam asks to go in the mud and she gives full permission, with a smile! -tif
mud!!! i dont care much for mud. – jonathan

uh-oh, sam came back with one shoe…
so we sent him back into retrieve the other one. -tif
they sent him in a second time!?- jonathan

notice the background, sam’s about waist deep! -tif
hahah!! look what happened when he went back in! it probably wasn’t funny at the time, but its funny now!
this is my favorite shot. i love it!- jonathan

joey bailed on the mud and watched from a safe distance
while dominic pulled a quick rescue operation. -tif
go dad go! save your son from the puddle of muck- jonathan

unfortunately, the shoe was not recovered,
but, at least dad’s feet got a spa treatment. -tif

while dominic went for some clean clothes,
sam wasn’t in the mood for pictures. -tif

…but joey and ella found some green things to play with. -tif
all i see is black and white? ;) – jonathan

they look like limes, they smell like limes but we live in western pa???
any clue to what these things are? -tif
umm nuts? – jonathan

aww… nice mommy moment below- jonathan

this is the problem with two year old sisters… sorry sam -tif

dad to the rescue…again -tif

clean and happy at last!- tif

the next day i got this email. -tif
“WE FOUND THE OTHER SHOE…who am I kidding saying “we”….
Dominic braved the mud…you should’ve seen him….we have two red Keens again for Sam!!” -tracey
I got a call from a mutual friend of ours, Mark,
when i answerd the phone and mark was laughing histarically. He begins to describe a dominic,
in frigid temps, wearing only a swimsuit and covered in mud.
mark asked him what happened and dominic could only answer
“i dont want to talk about it”
haha thanks for being so great! i wish i was there to witness the mayhem – jonathan

thanks again for the brownies
they made a great after soccer snack for our daughter- tif
yeah.. so how did i miss out on this sweet goodness?????? – jonathan
we also paid the sitter in brownies that day ;)-tif

The green balls are called monkey balls! They are all over my back yard. The kids love them. They are like free baseballs.
